Artificial Pitches

Important Guidance for Using 3G Pitches

As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the quality and safety of the 3G pitches used across the league, we kindly ask for your support in ensuring that all players, parents, and volunteers adhere to the following footwear guidelines:

  • No Metal Studs – These can cause significant damage to the pitch surface.
  • No Flat-Soled Shoes – These can flatten the artificial fibers, affecting the pitch's quality.
  • No Bladed Boots – These can increase the risk of injury during play and cause damage to the pitch surface.

We have received several complaints from clubs regarding non-compliance of correct footwear from players and coaches.  We ask that you remind all members of these footwear rules and encourage them to ensure that everyone involved, including spectator volunteers (referees assistant), wears appropriate footwear while on the pitch.
Parents and spectators should also refrain from entering the pitch area unless they are wearing suitable footwear.

The league is fortunate to have access to several high-quality 3G pitches, and we all have a responsibility to protect and preserve these valuable facilities. By working together and following these guidelines, we can ensure the long-term safety and upkeep of the pitches for all users.
Thank you for your cooperation.
