The FDYFL is committed to providing a high-quality, safe, and respectful environment for grassroots youth football.
Entry Requirements
To maintain the standards of our competition and ensure the safety of all participants, all applying clubs must meet the following criteria:
- England Football Accredited: We only accept applications from England Football Accredited clubs. This ensures quality and safeguarding across the league.
- Active Affiliation: Clubs must have an active affiliation with the Kent FA.
- Committee-Led: Applications must be submitted by an official Club Committee Member, not individual team managers.
The Application Process
We follow a structured process to ensure all new member clubs are a good fit for our league:
- Submit Application: Complete the New Club Application Form via the link below.
- Informal Interview: Prospective clubs will be invited to a telephone interview with a member of the League Committee. This is a practical discussion to align expectations and answer your questions.
- Member Vote: Following the interview process, the committee provides feedback to our current member clubs. New admissions are finalised by a vote at the League AGM.
Important Deadlines
- Application Deadline: Tuesday 9th June 2026.
- Strict Cut-off: To allow us time to notify our Members so they may make an informed vote at the AGM (Wednesday 24th June.) Applications received after this date will not be considered for the 2026/27 season.
What this means for your club
Joining the FDYFL is a commitment to a standard of play and conduct. We expect our clubs to be proactive with administration, and respectful of the others. We are a league run by volunteers for the benefit of the children; common sense and cooperation are the keys to a successful season.
